James Moriarty isn't a man at all. He's a spider. A spider at the center of a web. A criminal web with a thousand threads and he knows precisely how each and every single one of them dances.
Fandoms (especially those of bbc) are ruining my life....excuse me while I go cry about the finale of Merlin...
Whoa there's just something about that works really well. This seems like it's literally Moriarty's point of view, that we're looking at the world through the eyes of Moriarty. That said, Sherlock blurred in the background works on so many levels! Like, it shows how despite how clever Moriarty might be, Sherlock is always metaphorically lurking in his vicinity, threatening to close in on him and bring him to justice as he gets closer with each case.
Glad you had a good time!
